pc cable managementBuilt new pc, cable management?

I just built my first pc and it works like a charm, but it doesn't look like it :( I have cables everywhere and I'm seeing people with stock cooling with barely any cable and wires... mine are all over the place covering the whole mobo. I look in the window and it looks horrible, and tips and instructions on cable management?
There are really several ways that you can get better at cable management, you can buy the correct tools, connectors and cables and make custom length cables that hide a little easier, stock cables are generally too short. Or you can get some split loom, and hide multiple wires together in each length of split loom. The nice thing about split loom is that the cables can enter and exit the split loom where ever you need them too. Zip ties are always a good friend when you are trying to hide and route cables where they will not be seen. Serial ATA (SATA) cables do not like being bent apc cable managementt 90 degree angles so try to avoid that when trying to hide them and Parallel ATA (IDE) cables can be folded to make a 90 degree turn, which makes them easy to route behind the motherboard and therefore virtually invisible in the case, you will need custom length cables to do this trick, and usually some not so cheap tools as well if you want to make the custom cables your self. In a well managed cable set up you would also want a modular cabled power supply that will allow you to connect only what you absolutely need and eliminate the rest from you case leaving less wires hanging out.
There is a type of Power Supply Cable called MODULAR--they place a nylon shealth over the cables to bundle them..other than that..I use rubber bands..plus some DUCT-tape..I tear off a narrow strip of DUCT-tape..and tie the cables neatly-creating AIR-FLOW thru the CASE..I have a CPU Fan..but I always add a FAN inside the case tpc cable managemento just blow air around..plus the exhaust fan at the rear of the case(blowing outwards)..the situation about wires is that they cause a air flow BLOCK..so I tie them neatly and sometimes use a WHITE-cord to tie them upwards to the upper portion of the case..I use the rubber bands because if one breaks--its harmless inside the case..rather than a TWIST-tie... the DUCT-tape is good...narrow strips.
Tie them on the top, between the PSU and the optical drives (DVD/CD/Bluray)
Then run the power cables along the HDD/FD/accessories.
The data cables (IDE/SATA/USB) should be laid as close as possible to the mainboard.

That should do much more cleaning, with a tie-wrap.
A power supply with removable cables helps a lot. Rounded IDE cables too. The obvious answer would be to use some plastic cable ties, I don't bother with those though.
just shove everything in there.

thats what she said.
