We have a Dell desktop and a laptop (Inspiron 6000) with high speed cable internet. The laptop's CDRW/DVD started skipping ONE DAY after the warranty expired. The hard drive was damaged (children) - so I purchased a new hard drive and optical drive from Dell. When the Inspiron was new it did not come with an XP drivers disc. I tried installing the XP disc from our desktop to the laptop but it's a couple years oldownload drivers dell inspiron 6000der and none of my other discs will load. It says I need .NET 1.1 or higher. I cannot get online with the laptop because it says my internal network card is not installed or was diabled. How do I get the correct XP drivers and the network card working again? Can I download the drivers from Dell and burn them onto a CD from my PC and then load them to the laptop?
I fear I know just enough about computers tdownload drivers dell inspiron 6000o get me into trouble, but don't want to try anything stupid.
Should I have spent $500 on a new laptop or was spending $150 on the new drives a better deal? HELP!
Yes, you can download the drivers and burn them to a CD with your desktop. The best way is to burn the network wireless drivers, install them on your laptop and download the rest of your drivers directly on your laptop.
