I have a Windows XP operating system. I currently have Adobe 8, because I panicked and uninstalled "9" after I read of the security risks. There apparently are "fixes" for 9 and 10, but I want to be sure I download the right one I have been to the main Adobe site, but now I'm more confused. Do I download the at risk version of 9 acurrent adobe downloadnd the the patch? Now I read 7 & 8 are vunerable too - help!
You should always have the latest updated/patched
versions of Adobe /flash /active x /reader,Real player,Java,
along with windows updates of course and a good habit
to get into is to do a free online secunia scan say once a month
and this takes about 5 minutes.
They willcurrent adobe download direct you to the official website and will pinpoint
the right update for you.
Always make sure any old Java are deleted as they do not
remove it themselves.
EDIT.........Always have the latest and delete any
older versions if they do not delete it themselves
as these will all be vulnerable,so open to exploits.
