After i reformat my laptop i couldnt play windows media player i got error msg that there is problem with sound device or there might not be sound device installed or the device is used by another program.. Plz help!!
I would look install sound device windows xpin device manager and check to see the status of the sound, video and game controlers. If there is a red x or a yellow exclamation point then the device drivers were not installed properly. You can go to the manufacturer websiteinstall sound device windows xp and download the correct drivers for laptop.
you need to instal the DRIVER for the sound card.

or go to windows update, click CUSTOM than the hardware link, install ALL drivers offered to you
